Looking for a Centering Prayer Group in the Largo, FL, Area? Our Church Can Help
If you’d like to participate in a prayer group in the Largo, Florida, area that incorporates the method of silent contemplation as a way to open oneself to a deeper relationship with God, then mark your calendar for a visit to Trinity Presbyterian. Our centering prayer group meets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays on our church campus conveniently located in Clearwater.
Led by a certified centering prayer facilitator, participants in this prayer group typically focus their minds on a specific spiritual thought and try to put other thoughts aside as they pursue a deeper intimacy with God. The class is one of many opportunities at our church for residents from Largo, FL, and surrounding communities to get to know us and forge a relationship not only with God, but also with other individuals who are eager to support you on your faith journey.
We are a welcoming, inclusive faith community that is less focused on denominational doctrine than we are on opportunities to serve God and deepen our relationships with others who seek to do the same. Our centering prayer group is only one way that we do that. Other group meetings intended to help everyone develop and nurture these relationships include:
- Our Alternative Perspectives class that meets on Wednesday nights and considers contemporary topics in light of progressive theology
- A group called “Wired Word” that focuses on the Christian perspective of headlines in the news media
- Bible study groups for adults and children of all ages
In addition, our church is actively involved in a number of volunteer efforts that can help you plug into the community and recharge your sense of purpose.
If you’re a resident of Largo, FL, or any of the other neighboring communities, we invite you to make the short drive to Trinity Clearwater to participate in our centering prayer group or join us for our dynamic Sunday morning worship service. Contact us today to learn more.
