Shalom Orphanage in Karatu, Tanzania, Africa. In November of 2012, Trinity adopted this orphanage in Karatu, Tanzania, which was started by a husband and wife, who discovered orphans foraging in a dump for food and took them home. The first year Trinity provided the funds to build a playground on the property. In 2013 a team, including 3 dentists visited the orphanage and provided dental care to the children there and at the local school. Funds had, also been raised to purchase needed equipment and food for the school, including bunk beds and a washer. Since that time Trinity has continued to support the school through donations for food and to repair a pump that provides clean water. Funds have also been raised to provide scholarships for 2 of the orphans to attend the local boarding school.
